Tour to Cambridge @ 20 June 2009.... Part 1

We start our tour around 8:00am in the morning. The trip to Cambridge took us around 2 and half hours.

Once we reached Cambridge, we were enjoying ourself around while waiting for the Cambridge Chauffeur Punts sessions.

There is only 2 days of orientations....

15 June@ Adsetts 6620

We went to the hall called Adsetts 6620 and wait for the orientation to start.

In the first day (University Induction Day), we were given the International Students Handbooks 2008-09 and a time table for our orientations.

Besides that, we got a TARC Students Welcome Pcak as well. All our timetables are stated inside.

In the afternoon, we complete all the forms required, pay for our course fees and collect our SHU Card.

After all the talks given by Lectures of SHU and South Yorkshire Police, we went for Campus Tour guided by Andrew.

16 June@ Adsetts 6620

Today was the School Induction Day & Commencement of Teaching. After all the talks given, we were given the Bank Letter to open our account in one of the bank called Natwest.

We decide to open account on the next 2 days to avoid the crowd.

High Street @ 13 June 2009

In the morning after a tired night, we join our neighbour Apartment 61 for a day walk in the High street with the guidance from our tour guide phui san.

MORNING
Well she brought we to a few useful places like 99p shop, Castle market, some chinese shop and etc... We bought a lot of stuff like washing powder, fruits, chicken, onion, oyster sauce and etc. Then we directly heading back to Apartment as the things was heavy and we r hungry..... Once we reach home, we just put our things aside and start to cook noodle as our dinner.

AFTERNOON
After a tired morning, we start our trip to High Street again with a different feeling... ^.^ Vacation.... How relax it was without all those heavy stuff.

Well... this 2 was my house mate... leng li and mei yee.

Arrival in Manchester.... @ 12 June 2009

We arrived in Manchester around 1:00pm in the afternoon and started to look for our extreamly heavy luggage bags. Well, i am the unfortunate 1 as my luggage bag spoilt during the flight.... How sad... look at the crack....

Then i make a report, but dont really know what should i do... Sigh... still waiting for the MSL and AIG to reply my email....

Later on, we found the rep from SHU and followed her to the taxi. OMG... we r the only 3 people travel in this emirates flgiht.... How excited...

The journey from Manchester to Sheffield took us around 1 to 2 hours... -.-" Although there is great scenery out there.... nice moutain, building and sheep.... But i have the feeling of vomiting as the road was belok here... belok there... ended up... :p i slept for the whole journey...

When we reach the Charlotte Court (the place i will be staying), we register ourself and got a room, apartment 3.... When we go into the apartment, we found out that the kitchen was extreamly dirty and full of unwashed dishes and some funges around... "Behtahan"... then we go and make a compliant to change our apartment to Apartment 62 (My current apartment)

We meet our course mate , jin hoe (if i didnt spell wrongly) and phui san... Luckily we meet them... then only i know lea joo staying in Apartment 61... So we shifted there and be their neighbour.

APARTMENT 62
Well... this apartment was slightly better than the 1 be4... Me, mei yee and leng li start to put our luggage bag into our room and went out to join our friend from Apartment 61 to some shops around to buy some necessary items and do some groceries.

When we r back, we started to clean our kitchen, unpack our luggage and cook some dinner. We ate spagetti with bacon we bought from Netto.

Then we started to unpack our 30kg luggage and take our own sweet time for the whole night.

Never tought i will have the chance to step my legs in UK

Everything was done in a rush hour... where i was only given a week time for my preparation which includes several farewell with families and friends....

On 12 Jun 2009 2:00am in the morning, i took the emirates flight from Malaysia-Dubai-Manchester.

My luggage: 30.5kg..... haha... extreamly heavy.... its almost 2/3 of my own weight.

Well, not much photos taken in KLIA.... (Since every1 been there be4)

After a 6 hour flights.... I have reached Dubai airport and waiting for the flight transfer for around 3 hours there. Every1 was tired and sleepy... But since there is 3 hours time, me and mei yee started to get excited and snap some interesting spots around the airports.

After the 3 hours waiting, we started to get into our plane again.... another 7 hours flight....
